Turkish slab imports plunge in August

Arrivals of merchant slab to Turkey’s ports halved in August compared to July, and declined significantly on-year. This reflects low slab purchasing volumes in late May and early June, when import prices peaked at about $960/tonne cfr Turkey, Kallanish notes.
