Turkish scrap prices remain rangebound on weak activity
Scrap prices in Turkey remain rangebound while Turkish mills’ appetite for scrap purchases is lacking. Two deals were heard in the market on Tuesday.
A southern mill is heard to have bought US-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 at $389.5/tonne and shredded and bonus at $409.5/t cfr Turkey. However, it was later confirmed that this sale actually took place last week.
