Turkish rebar prices remain firm, demand subdued

Demand for Turkish rebar has remained subdued this week in both the domestic and export markets. Turkish mills, however, are seen keeping their offers firm as a decrease in scrap prices is yet to be achieved. Mills’ official quotes remain mostly at $705-710/tonne fob Turkey actual weight. There are, however, offers at above $710/t fob from some mills. Although demand increased slightly last week and Turkey managed to sell to South America, the US and Canada…
