Turkish rebar demand on hold, prices soften
The weakening of domestic demand as well as persistent sluggish export demand has led to a reversal of the Turkish rebar price trend that had been on the rise since the last week of December.
On Thursday, mills’ rebar export offers were mostly at $710-715/tonne fob Turkey actual weight. Offers for mesh-quality wire rod, meanwhile, were at $720-735/t fob.
