Turkish merchant bar prices struggle amid competition
Turkish merchant bar producers tried to keep their official offer prices in export markets mostly stable last week. However, competition in both overseas and domestic markets pressured values amid insufficient demand.
On Friday, producers’ official export quotes were pegged mostly at around $615-640/tonne fob Turkey for angles, IPN-UPN sections, flat bars and IPE sections, unchanged from a week earlier.
