Costs support Turkish longs quotes despite weak demand
Turkish long steel producers are seen trying to keep their quotes firm despite demand being weak. This is mostly due to firm scrap prices and sellers’ expectations for demand revival in the near term.
Turkish mills’ rebar export quotes were mostly at $660-670/tonne fob Turkey actual weight on Thursday. Export quotes for mesh-quality wire rod, meanwhile, are mostly at $690-710/t fob.
