Turkish domestic scrap follows import fall
Turkish mills have mostly decreased their domestic scrap buying prices since last week amid continuing import price decline, Kallanish notes.
Mills are struggling to maintain their margins amid decreasing steel prices and therefore exerting pressure on scrap prices. Some are seen considering low-priced imported billet options, while some are bidding at low prices for scrap.
