Turkish crude steel production declines in June
Turkish crude steel production declined -11% on-year in June to 2.7 million tonnes. This was also down -12% from May, according to the Turkish Steel Producers Association (TCUD).
Electric arc furnace-based output fell -10.1% on-year in June and BOF-based output dropped -13%.
In January-June Turkish crude steel output thus dropped -10.1% on-year to 16.99mt, with EAF-based production down -12.8% to 11.43mt and BOF-based output down -4.1% to 5.57mt.
