Turkey’s longs quotes continue climb, buyers’ resistance grows
Turkish long steel producers have further increased their offer prices this week due to firm scrap prices.
On Thursday, Turkish mills’ official rebar offers were at $615-625/tonne fob Turkey actual weight, up from $600-615/t a week earlier. Offers for mesh-quality wire rod are at $625-640/t fob. Even $630/t fob for rebar was available from some mills, although buyers find this level unworkable.
