Turkey’s Kardemir Haddecilik starts new EAF trials
Turkish re-roller Kardemir Haddecilik Sanayi ve Ticaret, not to be confused with blast furnace-based steelmaker Kardemir, has started trial production at its new electric arc furnace meltshop, which has a 1.25 million tonnes/year production capacity, Kallanish notes.
Kardemir will thus be able to produce high-quality billet for its own captive use.
