Turkey’s first-quarter production, consumption, exports rise
Turkish crude steel production saw the fastest growth of the world’s top 15 producing nations in the first quarter, up 28.4% on-year to 9.5 million tonnes, while global growth inched up only 0.5%. Turkish output nevertheless remained down on Q1 2021 despite new capacity added since then.
