Tribunal sides with Latvia in idled steelmaker case
The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) tribunal has granted Latvia’s request that Yevgeny Kazmin provide a guarantee to pay legal expenses in the case over insolvent Latvian steelmaker Liepajas Metalurgs.
The tribunal ordered Kazmin to provide a letter of guarantee for €3 million ($3.5m), as security for the possible reimbursement of Latvia's legal expenses.
