TMK develops pipe sulphur content regulation

Russian pipemaker TMK’s Volga Pipe Plant (VTZ) has developed and implemented a new technology in electric steelmaking, the company says. VTZ has patented a technology for modifying steel in the manufacture of continuously cast billet with regulated sulphur content. This follows a request from customers in the engineering industry.
