TMK improves quality with rolling shop overhaul
Russian pipe producer TMK has completed the extensive upgrade of the TPA-80 pipe rolling unit in pipe rolling shop No.3 at its Sinarsky pipe plant (SinTZ), the company says.
During the overhaul, three walking beams of 15 meters long and weighing more than 20 tonnes were replaced on the walking hearth furnace. Such work is carried out every ten years.
