TMK-Artrom upgrades furnace, eyes efficiency
Russian oil and gas pipe producer TMK has upgraded its TMK-Artrom plant in Romania, the company says.
The company reconstructed a rotary furnace at the rolling mill and improved the automatic control system. This should eliminate bottlenecks in re-heating billet and raise the efficiency of the furnace by cutting gas consumption by -20%, Kallanish notes.
