Thyssenkrupp starts new furnace for automotive grades
Thyssenkrupp Steel has completed a new walking beam furnace at hot strip mill 2 in Duisburg, installed by Tenova LOI Thermprocess.
According to tk Steel, the unit’s most important advantage is a further improvement in the surface quality of premium sheet, such as that required for the outer panels of cars. The investment volume of this project is in the mid double-digit million range, it tells Kallanish.
