Tenaris-TMK merger shakes up US supply chain
Tenaris’ acquisition of the US tube-producing assets of Russian steelmaker TMK is already producing ripples in the supply chain, Kallanish hears from market sources.
Tenaris purchased the former TMK Ipsco for a total consideration of $1.209 billion. The purchase closed in early January.
In addition, Tenaris inked a six-year master distribution agreement for TMK’s oil country and line pipe exports to the US and Canada.
