Tata to reline Ijmuiden blast furnace in April
Tata Steel confirms it will start a massive modernisation and relining programme at blast furnace no.6 at its Ijmuiden works during the first week of April.
The revamp has been in preparation for a long time; the company has accumulated “sufficient stocks of steel to continue operating the rolling assets to meet demand”, it says.
