Taiwan scrap market drops further

The Taiwanese scrap market has continued to deteriorate after a flat month. Negative expectations for local steel demand and falling global scrap values have sent Taiwanese scrap prices back to their lowest levels since December 2020. Kallanish assessed HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap on Wednesday at $335/tonne cfr Taiwan, down $15/t on-week.
