Supply constraints continue to impact US auto industry
Supply chain disruptions continue to plague the US automotive industry, with January sales suppressed and February likely to be the same, Kallanish learns from the latest joint forecast from JD Power and LMC Automotive.
The firms expect new-vehicle retail sales in the US to reach 828,900 units in January – an 8.3% decline from January 2021 levels. Total new-vehicle sales, which include non-retail transactions, are expected to be 16% lower at 932,100 units.
