Subdued demand hits retail rebar prices in Bahrain
In Bahrain, retail rebar prices have softened to BD 320/tonne ($851/t) delivered, excluding 10% VAT, due to subdued demand amid low quoted imported rebar from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, Kallanish learns.
It has been heard that rebar for all diameters by a Saudi mill is invoiced at $770/t delivered, while two mills in the UAE offer rebar with a wide price range - one at $808/t and the other below $750/t, both delivered.
