Steel, iron ore freight carloadings rise in Canada
Monthly freight carloadings of both steel and iron ore concentrate rose in Canada at the beginning of this year, Kallanish learns from the latest data collected by Statistics Canada.
According to Statistics Canada's railway carloadings report, monthly shipments of primary/semifinished steel increased by 9.6% during January after falling by 5.3% at the end of last year.
