Steel futures fluctuate lower on macro pressure
Following the blow to iron ore and other commodity futures markets, Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures began to fluctuate downwards from the afternoon on Wednesday, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2022 rebar contract closed CNY 120/tonne lower than Tuesday at CNY 4,915/t ($772/t), and the same contract for HRC closed down CNY 94/t at CNY 5,086/t.
