SDI Sinton start up is again delayed
The startup of Steel Dynamics’ new 3 million short ton/year hot mill in Sinton, Texas, has again been delayed, with supply chain and Covid-19-related challenges to blame, the company says.
The rolling mill and two finishing lines have been commissioned and are in operation, but the melting and casting operations are now not expected to be fully operational until the end of February.
