Chinese stainless steel output strengthens year-on-year
China's stainless steel flat production decreased as expected by -1.8% month-on-month to 2.094 million tonnes in May, according to data from 24 producers including Taiyuan Iron & Steel, Baosteel and Tsingshan Group. Year-on-year however stainless steel flats production in May grew by 28.5%, Kallanish notes.
