French stainless scrap prices flatten
Stainless steel scrap prices in France are flat at June levels. This comes after values ticked up towards the end of last month and are now slowing due to fluctuations in nickel and other raw materials prices.
Mills are now paying €1,450-1,460/tonne ($1,717-1,729) ex-works for grade 304 to be delivered this month. Buyers pay €20-40/t for transport depending on point of delivery and departure, sources say.
