Stable US plate prices could soon trend higher
Plate prices in the US remain elevated as the market enters a typically quieter holiday season.
Kallanish’s A36 plate price assessment was steady on Monday at $1,830-1,880/short ton, ex-works, domestic mill. Prices, now at an all-time high, began the year at $985/st and are up from the recent low of $550/st in June 2020.
