Spain’s January steel scrap consumption, production grow
The Spanish steel sector saw scrap melting and steel production rise in January, Kallanish notes. Both activities were also higher compared to the same period in 2023.
Spain’s ferrous scrap consumption grew by 34.9% or 197,000 tonnes on-month in January to 761,000t. This was 14% more on-year.
