Spain increases scrap consumption in February
Spain increased ferrous scrap consumption by 5.6% or 104,000 tonnes on-month in February to 769,000t. This was however a 2% on-year drop.
Two-month scrap usage was 1.43 million tonnes, representing 82.6% of total crude steel production in January-February 2023, Kallanish notes.
