Spain’s crude steel production becalms in November
The Spanish steel sector saw production and scrap melting fall sequentially in November 2021. The deceleration follows two months of strong performance, Kallanish notes.
According to Spanish steelmakers' association Unesid, the local steel industry produced around 1.14 million tonnes of crude steel in the month. This was 10.9% less than October’s output of 1.28mt and also 28,000t or 2% down year-on-year.
