Southeast Europe continues to decrease steel output
Southeast Europe (SEE) crude steel production decreased in August compared with the same month last year, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 345,950 tonnes, down by 21.8% year-on-year.
SEE output in July had been 386,950 tonnes, down by 5.7% year-on-year (see Kallanish passim).
In January-August, regional production was almost flat on-year at 3.27 million tonnes.
