South Africa's steelmaking minerals register increased export income
South African steelmaking mineral export volumes decreased by 5.7% on-year in February, driven by a drop in iron ore shipments.
In the meantime, chromium ore, manganese ore and nickel shipments saw an on-year surge in February by 24%, 4.7% and 4.3%, respectively. Overall February export income surged 10.7% on-year to ZAR 13.87 billion ($705.4 million) from last year's ZAR 12.52 billion.
