Shanxi Liheng announces merger and capacity upgrade plan
Shanxi Liheng Iron & Steel and Pingfu Trade Ltd. Co have together established Shanxi Jinnan Iron & Steel Group, with the support of local government, according to the Shanxi provincial Economy & Information Commission. Liheng and Hongda Iron & Steel in nearby Xiangfen county are together cutting seven blast furnaces, allowing Jinnan Group to add two new 1,860 cubic metre BFs.
