Shandong province increases electricity prices for steelmakers
The Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission (DRC) has issued a document imposing higher electricity prices for some of the production equipment at 15 steel companies in the province. This is primarily to encourage the steelmakers to accelerate equipment upgrades, Kallanish notes.
