Shagang resumes production from overhaul

Major eastern Chinese steel producer Shagang Group has completed the overhaul of its production equipment and is increasing steel output after resuming production. It restarted one 180-tonne converter and one 1,700mm hot-rolling line from Wednesday, adding 5,000 tonnes/day of crude steel production and 11,500 t/d of HRC production, Kallanish notes.
