Shagang pushes flats offers up for April
Chinese steelmaker Shagang has pushed its flat product offers up for April, reflecting strong confidence in the short-term outlook. Steel mills have seen margins expand in the peak season starting in March, Kallanish notes.
Shagang decided to add CNY 300/tonne ($45.7/t) to its Q235 HRC offers for April, which is six times the previous increase. Medium plate prices have been lifted by CNY 200/t.
