Shagang halts some production in April

Shagang Group, a major steel producer in eastern China, will overhaul a converter, heavy plate lines and wire rod production lines in April. The 15-day overhaul of the converter will reduce 7,100 tonnes of daily crude steel output, resulting in a total output reduction of 106,500t of crude steel, Kallanish notes.
