Severstal stops three sintering machines to reduce emissions
Russian steelmaker Severstal has stopped three sintering machines at its Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant (CherMK), which will allow the company to get closer to reducing CO2 emissions by 10% from 2020 levels, it says.
By 2026, Severstal intends to stop seven of the eight sintering machines at the CherMK site, Kallanish notes.
