Severstal revamps Cherepovets cutting machine
Russian steelmaker and miner Severstal has reconstructed cross-cutting unit No.2 (APR-2) at its flagship Cherepovets Steelworks (CherMK), the company tells Kallanish.
The cost of the modernisation amounted to more than RUB 400 million ($5.7m).
During the implementation of the project, a new sheet straightening machine was installed, as were a hydraulic station and speed-reducers, while the electronics were partially replaced.
