Serbia calls tender for privatisation of Zelezara
The Serbian government has opened a tender for the acquisition of troubled state-owned steelmaker Zelezara Smederevo, Kallanish learns.
The initial bidding price for the company, which is Serbia’s only steel mill, is set at €45.69 million ($50.3m). Bids will be accepted by 30 March and the offers will be opened on 1 April, the government says in a notice published in the 4 March issue of local daily Politika.
