SDI's Millett predicts increasing steel demand, pricing rebound
Although hot rolled coil prices have been moderating in the US market, that doesn’t mean the decline will continue, says the leader of Steel Dynamics Inc.
Speaking on the company’s fourth quarter earnings conference call this week, SDI president and ceo Mark Millett said HRC prices have been pressured by new capacity and moderate import growth. The price correction, however, is not related to overall demand, he said, which remains healthy.
