Sail increases shipments, revenue despite record-high coking coal
Steel Authority of India (Sail)’s crude steel production grew by 4% on-year to 4.53 million tonnes in the December quarter. Hot metal production and saleable steel output rose 2% and 5% respectively to 4.89mt and 4.37mt.
Crude steel production in April-December grew 20% to 12.77mt. Hot metal and saleable steel production clocked at 13.82mt and 12.46mt respectively.
