SAIL sees rise in annual steel output, deliveries
Steel Authority of India (SAIL)’s sales grew 8% on-year in the fiscal year ended 31 March 2022 (FY22) to 16.15 million tonnes, Kallanish notes.
Crude steel production surged 14% to 17.36mt, against 15.21mt produced a year earlier (see Kallanish passim).
In the March quarter, the firm’s crude steel production totalled 4.6mt, marginally up by 1%, whereas deliveries rose 9% to 4.71mt.
