SA, Sweden supply drives Turkish ore import growth
Turkish iron ore imports rose 25% on-year in August to 1.08 million tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
This came despite supply from largest provider Brazil dropping -1% to 340,587t. This was offset by South Africa and Canada supplying 171,652t and 170,359t respectively versus zero each a year earlier.
