Russian imports of stainless steel increased in April compared to the previous month, says national special steel association USSA. Intake amounted to 51,543 tonnes, up by 29% on-year, Kallanish notes.
The figure is a new record for one month, USSA claims. The previous was set in December 2021 and amounted to 50,650t.
Imports of stainless cold-rolled flat products were up 40% in April and hot-rolled flats were more by 54%, USSA says without providing tonnages.
