Russia’s stainless imports rebound in April
Russian imports of stainless steel increased in April compared to the previous month, says national special steel association USSA. Intake amounted to 51,543 tonnes, up by 29% on-year, Kallanish notes.
The figure is a new record for one month, USSA claims. The previous was set in December 2021 and amounted to 50,650t.
Imports of stainless cold-rolled flat products were up 40% in April and hot-rolled flats were more by 54%, USSA says without providing tonnages.
