Russian ferroalloy plant resumes production, eyes higher output

Svetlinsky Ferronickel Plant has resumed operation under new owner Rusnickel, following a long downtime in the Orenburg region, according to the regional administration. The former Buruktal Nickel Plant has been idle since 2018. The firm is currently processing chromium ore and producing ferrochromium with 75% chromium content. Its plans include resuming the processing of nickel ore from a local deposit.
