Russian car production decreases in May
Carmakers in Russia decreased production in May compared with the previous month and year-ago month amid Western sanctions and shortages of components.
Production amounted to 43,000 vehicles, down 2.1% year-on-year, Kallanish notes from national statistical service Rosstat data.
In April, Russian carmakers produced 63,000 vehicles, up 2.3-fold on-year (see Kallanish passim).
