Rio Tinto's iron ore production rises in 2022
Rio Tinto's Pilbara operations produced 324.1 million tonnes of iron ore in 2022, 1% higher than 2021, Kallanish notes from its operations report.
The Anglo-Australian miner's iron ore shipments were 321.6mt in 2022, in line with 2021.
In Q4 alone, Pilbara iron ore production grew 6% year-on-year to 89.5mt, while its shipments climbed 4% to 87.3mt.
