Rio Tinto delivers first iron ore from Gudai-Darri
Anglo-Australian miner Rio Tinto has delivered the first ore from its new Gudai-Darri iron ore mine in the Pilbara, Western Australia, Kallanish notes.
With an expected life of more than 40 years and planned capacity of 43 million tonnes/year, Gudai-Darri will underpin the future production of the Pilbara Blend product. A feasibility study to support an expansion of this new hub is also progressing.
