US rigs rise by 9, Canada up 8
The US and Canadian rig counts continued to tick up during the week ended 24 September, according to Baker Hughes data analysed by Kallanish.
The weekly US rig count rose again by nine net rigs to a total of 521, an increase of 260 over last year’s comparable weekly count.
The number of oil producing rigs rose by 10 from the week prior, while natural gas producing rigs dropped by one.
